This half term we are working on developing shoe lace tying skills and overhand knots to use in our woodlands. We have started off by learning how to tie a simple overhand knot around our welly boot and then around a stick.

Practice tying an over hand knot onto a stick or chopstick- you could use it to make a journey stick, where you attach other things to it, for yarn wrapping sticks from your garden, or attach it to blu-tac, a paperclip ‘hook’ or a magnet, to play a fishing game
